She's friendly and likeable. In her high school years, she was on the cheerleading team and the kickline team, and now she's attending a college for performing arts. To be frank, she's not even decently interested in throwing a pity party for herself. She's the sort of girl who will run away from her problems because she's never been the confrontational type. More athletic than smart, she's better at sports and has been dancing since she would walk. It is precisely because of her talent at dancing that she managed to land herself a spot in Juilliard. She dorms there but returns home to Aeolus on a daily basis, where she lives with relatives after her mother died. At the moment, she's trying her best to make baby steps toward progress after having wasted far too many years wallowing in depression. With an easy smile, light sense of humour, and mischievous expression, Aer seems to be the type who would have a load of friends. Hanging out and having fun is no problem, but she tends close-lipped about herself and prefers not to share her secrets. She tends to push people away once they get too close, but it is a self-defense mechanism that she developed after being hurt a few too many times. Like every other person out there, Aeryn's also bound to have some enemies. Some people may find her to be extremely fake or they may believe that she's trying to play a hard-to-get with her somewhat secretive personality and deem it utterly irritating. Whatever the reason, she's bound to have a few people who dislike her, and it won't mean much to her anyway. She doesn't go out of her way to pick fights, especially when she has better things to spend her energy on. A lot of people say they're unlucky when it comes to love, but she's not kidding when she stakes a claim to this sort of misfortune. She's convinced that it was the universe's way of saying she's not meant to be in love. As a result, she flirts often and has been known to enjoy a fling or two. She likes dating, but she tends not too take her relationships too seriously, part of which is because love isn't even her first priority right now. She often attempts to smile and act like everything’s alright, but in reality, she is usually miserable and torn up over the death of her long-term boyfriend. Music is the only thing that helps her cope because it’s always been her passion, and one could say she’s a musical prodigy. Music has been a part of her life since childhood, and experience has guaranteed that she has at least a basic knowledge on how to work most types of instruments. The cost of being talented in that area of the arts has cursed her with a lack of athleticism and shaky grades, but she can’t say she minds. All she wants is to perform onstage in hopes of leaving an impression because that is the only time she can forget about reality to lose herself in her music, enabling her to act uncharacteristically energetic and lively in contrast to her typically quiet and sheepish demeanour. Though not particularly shy, Aphy also isn’t very social because she fears that when she attempts to make friends, she’ll be scrutinised and insulted. Others will likely have to approach her first, but afterwards she finds it hard to let people in because they may judge her. She tries her best to fit in by smiling and laughing as if everything is alright and life is peachy keen, but perhaps a handful of friends will see past her forced laughter to offer her a shoulder to cry on and to patch up her tattered self confidence, though it would also be nice to have some friends who try to take her out to have fun. It should be difficult to make enemies with a girl who hates conflict and has virtually no temper, but it’s not completely impossible. Some people may accuse Aphy of using the difficult moments she’s lived through to act as an attention whore, and others may be old bullies who are back to push her around a little more. She doesn’t really have the will to fight back, nor does she have the anger and hatred to want to lash out and retaliate. Love is something everyone needs, but it leaves Aphy feeling terrified. A boy her age named Gavin had been her support system and boyfriend for years, and he gave her a promise ring, saying that he would marry her someday. His unfortunate death in a hit-and-run when leaving her house one night put those plans to rest and left her heartbroken and shattered. To this very day, she believes that they had been made for each other, and she’s petrified by the notion she could ever fall in love again because it would be the ultimate betrayal.
